Check out a Skate & Swim Pass at the Whitby Public Library and explore Whitby’s recreation facilities. The pass entitles you to free admission to a public skate or swim at Town of Whitby recreation facilities.
How do I get a pass?
There are six passes available for loan and you can check availability here. The pass is checked out on your library card for one week. Holds may be placed on the passes with your library card.
What does the pass do? The pass will entitle you to free admission for up to five (5) people to a public skate or swim at any Town of Whitby recreational facility. Where can the pass be used? Swimming available at: Whitby Civic Recreation Complex Anne Ottenbrite Pool Skating available at: Iroquois Park Sports Centre McKinney Centre Luther Vipond Memorial Arena Click here for Schedules. Can I only use it once during the week? You can use it as many times as you like during the checkout period. Can the pass be renewed? We want to ensure that as many people as possible get a chance to use the pass so renewals are not allowed. How do I return it? The pass cannot be returned in the drop box and must be returned during open hours at any branch directly to the Borrower Services Desk. What about overdue fines? The fines for overdue passes are $1 per day. What if I lose the pass? Please notify the Borrower Services Department at your branch right away. The replacement cost is $20.
